Equipment
Checklist

Climbers are encouraged to bring as much of their own equipment as possible. This should include the following:

Anorak, mittens, balaclava, snow goggles or ski sunglasses, scarf, 3 pairs warm trousers, sweaters, 6 pairs warm socks, thermal underwear, waterproof layer, sunproof hat, comfortable boots, sun cream, small first aid kit, daypack and water bottle(s).

For the final ascent, climbers need to carry at least 2 litres of water, so water bottles must be large enough or several must be carried. Gourds (such as Camelbaks) are becoming increasingly popular for the ease with which one can drink from them.

For fully-equipped climbers, the hotel will, where possible and free of charge, supplement any shortfalls in personal equipment from its own stocks.
