Machame 7 Day Climb

The Machame Route is a camping trek starting on Kilimanjaro’s southern slopes. It includes varied terrain from forest to moorland, and a climb to the Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Valley for acclimatization. The route ascends via Barafu Camp, with a midnight summit push to Uhuru Peak. An extra night at Karanga is optional for climbers wanting a more gradual ascent.
